Paa Insurance Agency Ltd (PIA) was first registered and licensed in the year 2022 and later incorporated in 2023. It is licensed as an Insurance agency by the Insurance Regulatory Authority. The company has a special focus on the design and distribution of various micro-insurance products targeting low-income segment workers in Africa. Our mission is to revolutionize the insurance landscape by providing relevant, simple, and affordable solutions. We are leveraging mobile technology to make our processes efficient as well as maintain client relationships. We are tapping heavily into the human-centered design (HCD) to ensure that our products and processes are responsive to the end user. Our aim is to insure 100,000 first time consumers in Africa over the next 5 years. Our flagship product is MaishaPoa, a comprehensive and affordable health financing solution that aims to provide access to quality healthcare. We have recently won a grant from the Swedish Capacity Building Fund (SCBF) and FSD- Kenya to aid further development and roll out the product. We are alumni of the BimaLab Africa & Growth Africa accelerator programs.
