Dasuns, founded on December 03, 2020, in Kampala, Uganda, is a social enterprise dedicated to improving socio-economic inclusion for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) through assistive technologies and advisory services. It aims to integrate PWDs into society by providing access to professional care support services. Dasuns has gained recognition for its social innovation, including being among the top 10 impactful innovations in Uganda and winning the MIT – Solve 2022 Global Challenge. It has also been part of the Innovate Now Accelerator and the Inclusive Africa’s AT Village, showcasing its commitment to accessibility across Africa. Co-led by Shadrack Bazatsinda and a team committed to values like inclusivity and innovation, Dasuns envisions a society with adequate support for PWDs, facilitating their independent living and community participation. The enterprise is celebrated for its pioneering solutions in disability inclusion and assistive technologies.
