Elink youth motivational consult is a group of young people who come together with different talents under which we have an online program called LET'S CHAT which forecast on mental illness. I am a passionate advocate for mental health and dignity in housing. My journey with Homes 4 the Homeless is a testament to my dedication to making a positive impact. As the project lead for “Empower Africa: Homes for Dignity,” I combines my expertise in psychosocial counseling and my commitment to empowering homeless individuals across Africa.
Elizabeth’s Project: “Empower Africa: Homes for Dignity”
“Empower Africa: Homes for Dignity” is my brainchild, a project deeply rooted in the mission of Homes 4 the Homeless. With a firm belief that dignified housing is a fundamental right for all, This project aims to provide holistic support to homeless individuals in Africa.
Project Goals
1.Raising Awareness: The project is driven by the goal of raising awareness about the mental health continuum. By destigmatizing mental health issues, we hope to encourage individuals to seek help and support.
2.Suicide Prevention: One of our key objectives is to prevent suicide through education and outreach events, both online and offline. We believe that every life is valuable and worth saving.
3.Empowerment: Empowering diverse individuals, families, and groups is at the core of our mission. We are dedicated to helping people achieve their mental health, wellness, education, and career goals, ensuring that no one is left behind.
Key Achievements
At the heart of this project is the belief that housing and mental health support go hand in hand. In 2023 over 970milion people where affected by mental illness and 700,000 committeed suicide. And if we do not take action, this numbers are likely to double if not triple by 2030.
